Hi Mullardel34
thank you so much for the tips, I will try your suggestion about the fuel first. The fuel filter was changed at the last service about 8000 miles ago.
The funny thing is it never suffers from loss of power during urban driving, it only happens occasionally on the motorway (freeway) during high speed continuous driving.
Will let you know how I get on, and thanks again for your advice :-)
Hello mullardel34,
I live in Australia Sydney and
I need an advice on my 2003 A4 B6 2.0 CVT , with 55,000km(not miles) on the clock.
Story goes ;
Few weeks ago, I purchased this beautiful Audi from the guy I know and at the time, I didn't know anything about CVT horrors. The car was in pretty good condition and very low km and I even took it to my regular mechanic. And he even said it's pretty good condition. The price was $11k, and I thought it was a good buy for such a low km car. But I began to read few days of CVT horror stories from this forum and UK audi forums.....(and also your posts) I now feel like 'I have a time bomb in my hand..'.
Now the question is ..... Should I sell it ASAP before I get hit with $5000 bill ???
or should I keep it and change the mission oil regularly and keep the car for few more years ??? ( The transmission oil change is 60,000km from what I read, but do they have an expiry date? like every 4 years ? or something?)
