As a new member of Audi-Forums, I would like to give you a full introduction and brief summary of my qualifications. In short, I have a passion for detailing like others do for fine wine, woodworking, or music. This is what I live and breathe. It stands to reason, then, I might know what I am talking about.

My business, Apollo Detailing, has been around for nearly two full seasons now. For the most part, we concentrate on paint correction. Paint correction, briefly, is the process by which defects, swirls, and scratches are removed from the paint.

This is an example of a panel that has received paint correction. Note the vast difference between the corrected and the uncorrected sides.

Hey apollo im thinking about getting a cover for my A4 at carscover.com but i jus recently got my car out of the paint shop. I was wondering if a car cover is the right way to go with prolonging the paint job on my A4?

Apollo thanks for stepping up and offering your knowledge. I usually detail my own cars and was wondering what products you recommend. Soap, wax, detailing spray, clay bar, tire spray, leather conditioner, etc. With so many products out on the market it's hard to choose.

Car covers are often very detrimental to finishes and you have to be very careful about which covers are used. I recommend Swissvax covers although they may have stopped selling them.

Thank you. I like to recommend products that are easy to source and so I find Meguiar's products offer pretty good value for money at the retail level.

Regarding products to use for the dash and for the glass covering the speedometer. What sort of items can I use to keep them clean.

Also I have the aluminum trims on around the inner seating area of my car, what type of products do you recommend for this?

When I do a manual wash on the car, what sort of cloth do you recommend that I use to wipe it dry?

Last question, is the Meguiar wipes for leather better than the spray?
