Thumbs down help with heated seats

The drivers side heated seat in my '01 A4 does not heat up completely. The sides get nice and toasty...but the butt and back do not heat up at all. Does anyone know how to go about having this fixed? A friend of mine suggested CarToys. I'm hoping someone here has some experience with this and can help. I commute a lot and my @$$ isn't big enough to benefit from just the heated sides of the seats.Thanks.

Took the car to CARTOYS and they only work with with Aftermarket heated seats (schematics are different). I should have known. So I called the local Audi dealer and they said it would be anywhere from $600-$800 to fix it if it is the element that is broken. Since part of the seat is heating I am sure that is what it is. I am hoping someone can help and tell me of a cheaper way to fix it. I really want that heated seat! Thanks for any replies.

Heated seats are not that difficult to work on. If you can remove the seat covers your self which can be a bit challenging. you could probrobly replace the element yourself. Save a lot of money doing it yourself. The hardest part is tearing down the seat.
