Got my new A4... Trouble with DIS :(

Hi

I just got my new Audi A4, which I like very much

I have a problem with the DIS. It flickers sometimes. Sometimes the display is dark and sometimes it's lighter, but it flickers between the two

Anyone have any idea why this could be? Could perhaps seem like a loose wire or something

Sound like the DIS is on its way out.... im not 100% sure.. however i have heard in the past the full cluter needs replacing if Audi do it... not sure if you can get one from a salvage yard etc..

How old is the car?? how many miles on it??

The car just turned 5 years.

It has 122.000 km on it. I want to get this fixed, because it's very annoying

audi is well known for a faulty instrument cluster design,it's a common problem thats expensive and a pita to change. I believe the dash has to be removed to replace the cluster.search the forums,there is lots of info on this.Don't be tempted to buy a used cluster from a scrapyard to offset some of the cost,they are all crap,and they are in a perfect place!
