if you wanted to turbo the 1.6 you'd have to do something about the gearbox first...
it is weak as *** on the 1.6's.... besides that, they are good engines, and would handle some boost with stock internals etc..
but definately change the gearbox if you were thinking of increasing the power significantly...
too much trouble than its worth... just get a gti and start a new project!
