ok peeps so I am about to buy a TT 3.2 V6 Quattro Auto 2003
Regarding the DSG padels , ok so this may be a bit of a thick question but I am a bit confused, the car is Automatic , so I am guessing that if I dont use the Padels on the steering wheel to change gears that the car will still drive as normal like a normal Auto would , i.e leave it in D and just drive? and that the padels on the steering wheel can be used if i want to "have sum fun" with it?? the padels dont have to be used do they ?? if i put the gear stick in D and just accelerate the car wont stay in 1 gear will it ?? Sorry for asking such a stoopid question ![]() Thanks 4 ya help |

DSG now called S Tronic is two 3 speed gearboxes with two electronicaly controlled clutches. One clutch is for gears 1-3-5 and the other for gears 2-4-6. When you select D it drives like an auto selecting the appropriate gear as required by switching between clutches.
