Default Tt Squeek

Hi Guys, Can anyone help? My 2000 TT has an annoying squeek/grone noise coming from the nearside front when driving along, predominately when going over speed humps. I have checked the suspension for security including the roll bar bushes. I have sprayed silicone on the moving parts all to no avail. HELP.

Default Squeeks

My wife has a 2000 TT coupe with the 225 HP. It too has an annoying squeek. It seems to be coming from the dash.
We also have a tremendous amount of road? tire? noise. We don't drive the car in the winter so it sits in the garage all winter long. I just wonder if that has put some flat spots in the bearings. We replaced tires and it seemed to help for a short period. I have not been able to isolate the dash squeeks but It almost sounds like it could be coming from the engine compartment.

my 2001 tt had a noise more of a sqeeking gone over spped bumps as well. replaced the sway bar bushings and noise stopped 4 about a week and then strtd sqeekn again. the mech. took the sway bar completely off to see if the sway bar was pitted or scarred . we found the remnants of two( probably nylon )sleeves that was on the sway bar . the 2 sleeves were so worn you probably wouldnt know they were there unless you took the sway bar off and inspected it closely. after removing all that was left of these sleeves and a light sanding of the bar presto ,magico never herd another sqeek again. thank goodness cuz i would hav had to sell it if i didnt stop that sqeeking noise. hope this helps you . let me know if it does good luck
