Hi, I was nearly taken in with that as I wanted to know why (according to local Audi dealership) Audi are now advising that timing belts should be changed every four years regardless of mileage! Is this for real? Sounds to me that owners are getting their heads screwed on and figuring that the "Audi package" isn't all its cracked up to be, leaving the dealerships looking for ways to claw our hard earned cash back.
My latest experience had Audi wanting to charge over £800.00 plus v.a.t for a Garret turbo and an added fitting charge when I could get the same one for £400.00 on the net and fit it myself! |

Hi A8tech...got another question for you. This morning my 'low battery' warning for my key fob came on my dash board. What I wanted to know was.. 1. How long will I have with normal usage before it completely dies on me 2. Do I need to go to a dealer to have it replaced etc 3. Will it cost me the earth? I only have one key and I'm a little concerned if it dies before I have chance to get to a dealer that I won't be able to get in and out of the car etc.. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks |
