Hi,
I am the proud owner of a 2002 Audi a6 3.0 Quattro. I am looking to replace the Front rotors and pads as well as the back pads by myself. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this or if they could give me some advise. I was also wondering if someone had step by step directions. |

I'll trust you,ve done brakes before so the front is the same as most cars. You'll nee metric allen wrenches to remove the caliper. Remember to clean the slider area well and use a high temp lube sparingly on the moveable parts. The rear is not really difficult but from my experience you really need a proper brake tool kit to re-seat the piston back in the caliper. The universal cube at the local parts store will work with a little modification but believe me the proper tool makes this go much easier. These don't just push in like the front piston, they must be screwed back in with pressure being applied at the same time. As with any brake job, keep it clean, no grease or fingerprints on the disc and be sure there are no leaks at the piston seals. As for direction, try www.Audidiy
