Default help with red a4 warning light

hi, i have a 2006 a4 2.0T. a few days ago i noticed the malfunction indicator lampt come on and also a red (not yellow) fuel pump light on next to the mileage remaining counter. anyone know what this is? i don't see any reference to it in my manual. thanks.

Are you sure its a fuel pump symbol not a oil can ?? Can you post a picture of it ?
