Good evening,
To make a long story short, on Monday evening I had my car recovered to Tonbridge Audi due to complete engine power failure. After inspection the following was diagnosed; "found tensioner to have excessive play which has caused slack in the cambelt resulting in engine valves bending, so new cylinder head required." The car has done 68k miles and has been serviced by Audi. I have had several conversations with Audi customer services (who by the way are a dis-organised shower of sh*t! ) I have spoken to another audi garage who tell be that the belt and tensioners etc. would normally be changed at 180k km (or 112k miles) Audi customer services are now waiting on technical data back from the garage to properly determine the problem and what contribution they may make. The estimate I have at the moment is over £3k ! I also had a NOX sensor failure in November which cost me £600 and as with the above left me in a very precarious position on the fast lane on the motorway. I am at a real loss and would really appreciate anyone’s thoughts on how I should / could proceed. ![]() Thanks, Chris |
