Hi Jon thanks for that. My air con has gone through a quirky patch. The econ light would not go off and then after a few weeks the system came back on line but the cooling effect is not as strong as it was. I thought a can of rejuvinator from Halfords might do the trick !???

Hello Colin, how much is this thing you call rejuvinator and does it allow you to fill to a set capacity.Your capacity when drain/refill is 500 grams.I never heard of these self fillers and i am keen to find out if there any good.Regards Jon

Hi Jon, whole can is only 113g with no pressure guage so a shot in the dark. Kwik Fit do system recharges for £44.00, seems good value. I now have another problem as the econ light has started to go on and off at will. Any ideas? Could be a low pressure switch plus system recharge, can't use the Halfords can if the compressor isn't working. It never rains !!!

Hello Collin, yes pressure switch could be stuck or incorrect pressure. You may need to connect a fault code reader and check aircon address is 08.I dont think you have a fault code reader but you are making me laugh with your antics and i am finding these self filler things very entertaining.Keep going Colin,Very best regards Jon

Hi Jon, absolutely right no code reader, my local non Audi garage takes care of all mechanical problems of which there have been none. Unfortunately they are not aircon specialists so I find myself on a lone quest to try to save some money and get the system fixed. I think I'll try a recharge (not with the Halfords can) to see if extra system pressure will work. I can then try to get the source of the leak (if there is one) found and go from there. All the best Colin

Hi Jon, just an update to air con pronblem. I used the refill can and things have certainly improved. I therefore think that a proper system recharge is neccessary and will arrange this at a local independant for the near futire. Regards Colin
