Ive had a 2001 Audi A4 1.9TDI 130bhp for a few weeks now and all has been well. I noticed whilst driving recently that the acceleration has slowed quite a bit. Whereas before you could feel the turbo kick in as soon as u put ur foot down there is a noticable lag now and it is slightly sluggish on take off until roughly 2000 - 2500 revs. It might be a co-incident but the prolem occured straight after I power washed the engine, although I left the engine running while doing so. Any ideas? Could dirt have somehow got through to the injectors??? Any solutions greatly appreciated.

Hi, try unplugging your MAF sensor. Most modern cars rely heavily on this component, so its a good place to start. If you unplug the MAF it will revert to base map values, and should run ok. (if thats at fault)
I'm a big believer in never power washing engines, but thats personal choice ![]() |
