I used to love my Audi. My local dealer in Greenwich, CT. , USA refuses to honor my warranty and has handed me a bill for $17,558.58 plus tax and hazardous waste disposal charges. I was driving through a heavy, heavy rainstorm and engine dies. Dealership claims that a leaf entered through the cowl, blocking the vacuum brake booster, so that the water of the rain got drawn up into the intake manifold causing hydro-lock, breaking a piston that seemed to go into the side of the block. End story- need a new engine plus. Dealership says this is my fault and I should go through my own insurance. Has anyone out there had a similar problem? I've been driving cars for years, and never had a leaf destroy an engine! Any advice? |

1) deal with the service manager of your audi dealer only if you arent already
2) call audi of america and see what they have to say 3) if you need to, call a lawyer who specilizes in warranty stuff, have him/her interpret the VWoA warranty and see what he says 4) all else fails, go thru your insurance |
