Does anyone else have a notchy gear change from 1st to 2nd gear especially when its cold?

pretty common, i've got the same thing in my jetta but the allroad it tip so wouldnt happen there. i've had the same thing in several cars when cold. nothing to worry about

yeah i find that its a little bit stiffer from 1st - 2nd when it cold, but thats completely normal. The oil temp & pressure should heat up.

what i find is that on a cold start, shifting down to first when you're about to stop is much harder at 5 - 10mph, than when the car is warmed. Is that normal?

I get that too, in the morning she just doesn't go into any gear (Audi Coupe). I find 1st gear is almost always notchy, unless I put it into gear just before stopping. Very strange!
