The audible alarm on my wifes 2000 A4 keeps going off. I tried turning off the motion sensor between the driver side doors but to no avail. Disconnected the battery in an effort to reset something. Nope, that didn't work. The problem is if you lock the car by the key itself, the alarm is still activated.

Just last night, I got a $175 ticket last night from the police for noise violation. The police picked the car lock open, popped the hood, unhooked the horn and left it on the dash board then locked the car. Now the lights just flash on and off for the alarm. I'm sure it will drain the battery after a while. URGH. Anyone know how to disconnect the alarm system? Is there a fuse that can be unplugged?

The fuse allocation info is detailed in your Driver Manual under General Maintenance. The alarm has a dedicated fuse that can be disconnected if you wish to.
Good luck
