Audi 2.6 idle/electrical probs

My 1996 Audi A6 estate this morning had a totally flat battery the car was fine the dat before I jump started the car as soon as I did the sunroof opened which hasn't been used for years and the car fired into life but ran very fast and surging between 1500 and 3500 rpm I called out the AA who came within 7 mins and cut along story short the sunroof I couldn't get shut we managed to shut it manually a drop test on the battery showed an intermittent discharge which we traced to the front electric seat the fuse has now been removed however the idling problem persists the car ran fine prior to the battery going flat going to take it on a run this afternoon see if it will sort itself out yet I don't hint it will its almost as if the battery is totally shot even thou we had a jump pack on it and now the car will start without any boost and still runs to fast and surges back and forth between 1500 And 3500 rpm

Have just took it out on a 10 mile run made no difference whatsoever it won't idle below 1500 rpm and still surges violently up to 3500. And back again it pulls ok and saw 90 MPH no problem but it just won't idle properly can someone tell me where the diagnostic plug is reading it seems its the two pin plug the white one in the under bonnet fuse box and ill need an adapter what I can't understand is the car ran fine until the battery went flat and the car was jump started
