A6 2,5 TDi 5cyl. Buyers Guide

Hello folks,

I'm looking at a 2.5ltr TDi A6 soon and want to know if there's anything to be aware of. It's a 5 cylinder diesel with 115BHP and I am having trouble finding any economy figures for it. Can anyone help?

Ive a 1996 A6 2.5tdi around town its getting 30mpg (Imp) Took it up the m-way today at a steady 70-80mph would seem to be returning 40mpg (imp) HTH

Ta very much, a bit thirstier than I'd hoped for. Not bad for a big car mind but I'm really after an 80 tdi. It's just that there a bit scarce at the moment so this seemed like an alternative.

Went down to Wales last week end 500 miles plus trip, cruised a wee bit above the national limit 80+ and avg 40mpg
