Chip a 53 plate A6 1.8T SE? Is it worth it?

My mate said that it may be worth it but it was best to ask some experts - so what do you guys think? I would like to improve the fuel consumption, currently at about 33mpg, and improve the acceleration. Yes, I want to have my cake and eat it - is it achievable?

A simple ECU remap should see you good for another 40-55 bhp power wise with more torque...
As for fuel consumption Audi petrol turbo's are not so good, you would be best to get a diesel ..
