So I am not able to compose new SMS messages on the MMI whilst by SAP capable Nokia 6230i is paired to the bluetooth phone connection option (£650) - This option available from Audi does not include a Audi supplied handset.

There are two BT options available, the basic BT prep, which is a cradle plate in the armrest. And then the high option which is cradleless and SAP and can be ordered with a handset for text messages etc.

9ZW = SAP with no cradle plate (phone in armrest is another option on top of this )
9ZF = Standard BT prep with cradle plate

Thanks for the clarification. Don't see much point in the extra £250 for the bluetooth only connection instead of the £400 cradle & bluetooth option..

On another subject are you able to retrofit a TV kit to a new A6 and how much would this be?

It's expensive to retrofit TV or camera is you don't already have one or the other. If you really want them, then order a car with them fitted.
