Default Audi A6 Tdi vibration

I have an Audi A6 Tdi and it seems that the whole vehicle vibrates, I have had replacement tyres fitted on the front and have had them balanced but it has made no difference, the problem is worse at between 50-60 MPH, it feels as thought the crankshaft is out of balance, any ideas?

I can't say I've had this problem with my audi, but it was a problem with a vectra I used to own. Having spent a considerable amount of money on getting the tyres ballanced at various garages and new tyres I eventually got the brake discs replaced as they were worn out, and the vibration stopped. Not sure if the discs had worn in a odd way or there was something else wrong that was fixed when the discs were replaced, but definately worth looking into!!

Thanks for the idea, this is one option I have not tried and it may be owrth pursuing, I am also thinking of getting the driveshafts checked to see if one or both could be running out of round.
