Help with decision to take maintenance plan or not please
Hi. I'm a newbie to both this forum and to Audi. I've just ordered a new A6 2.0TDI on personal contract hire, due in September. I still have the option to go for the fully maintained option but I could do with some info to help decide. The maintenance package includes tyres and services but as its just a two year lease everything else should in theory be covered by the warranty anyway. I'm expecting to cover just under 60k miles over the 2 yrs. What I could do with knowing is:
1) How long are most people getting out of tyres? (225/50/17's) I appreciate this is down to how its driven, I'll be mostly on the motorway and as its only the 2.0 I shouldn't be ripping them to shreds! My current car (05 megane estate) has managed over 30k on fronts and over 60k on rears running on michelins so at that rate I would only need to buy one tyre plus bring on the spare to get me through the two years - will the A6 be this good on rubber?
2) What service intervals are people actually achieving on the flexible system? If I can get 20k I would only need two services (and hand it back almost due!) but if it'll do much less than 20k then I'll need 3.
3) What are most people paying for 1st, 2nd and 3rd services in the UK?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
