Which bulb type H1 or H7, please help?

I checked with Dealer and few auto part stores and they all told me that My car 2002 Audi A6 uses H1 bulb for low beams. So I ordered my HID kit and got H1 bulbs but last night when I pulled my oem one, it said H7 on it?

Is the low beam inside the projector? Farthest out, closest to the fender?

Please help

ur high beams are H7 and ur lows are H1
ur low beam should be in the projector

well i pulled an H7 out of projectors. This one audi mechanic stated that sometimes both are H7's? Can anyone else confirm this? Damn this shouldn't be this hard haha

on the A4 is H7 for both...
