I know there is a fourm for this already but I have my own enquire’s
Just got my audi a4 1.9 TDI back from just havin a service they knotified me that it has a crack in the real anti roll bar. The car has only done 30 .000 miles and it is a 53 plate car. It has done 5000 miles since its last servcie 2 years ago. The 5000 miles were done up and down the morway. Im the only person who drives the car and I know the car didn’t have any problems in its last srevice so whats the chances that it has occurred a crack in the anto roll bar over 5000 miles of safe slow driving. Also they said the front breaks are worn by 85% yet again? The car hasent been used that much since its last service were they informed me it was fine. I use engin breaking so hardly use my breaks and when I do its not harsh breaking so how can they go from being perfectly fine to being 85% worn when the car is parked up at the side of my house? The car is out of the warrenty and they gave me a new audi a4 1.9 avant as a courtesy car I was wondering are they trying to get the money back that it cost them to lend me the car while mine had a service because the car I know was perfectly fine and they couldn’t find no faults to charge me? please reply. thanks rob. |

It's not the bar that cracks it's the guide bush that can't be replaced seperately, it's worth getting it replaced as the new ones are modified.
Even though you are light on the brakes the ABS/ESP system operates them in the background, rather than a % of wear ask them for a measurement as the wear limit is 7 mm including pad backplate.
