Default Abs: Pulsating Brake Pedal

At low speeds under 20 mph the brake pedal pulsates making a kind of grinding noise before it stops,of course over 20 mph its smooth as it ever could be.this has happened after my mechanic changed both cv joints.i have had 3 opinions on this:
A:the sensors need cleaning.
B:after a few hundred miles problem should dissapear.
C:a sticky relay in the relay compartment.

i have an A4 1998 and the odd bit is that abs light is showing is not flashing but coming on at ignition and then going off as normal.any one's views would be welcome, thanks.

well after a hundred miles the problem although not dissapeared completely, IS starting to smooth out at low speeds.so I think opinion B is getting my vote.

Thumbs up

Although problem did not disappear i took it on myself to to clean the abs sensors just as a precaution and amazingly everything is back to normal. So i have concluded that after all attempts fail, try cleaning the sensors(even cleaning a speck of grease makes a difference). So my OWN opinion Dclean sensors) now gets the vote.

Hi! I have a A4 2,8 1997 myself. After changing tires I had the same problem that you describe. What I did was to take the wheels of and hit the breake system to see if maybe some dirt had come in. It solved the problem at once.
Good luck!
