replacement aerial

The electric aerial on my A4 cabriolet has been damage, won't completely retract, and therefore needs replacing.

Please can anyone advise a) whether the aerial can be replaced without replacing the whole unit (i.e including motor) b) if so how easy is it to do please and finially, where might I get a good one without going through dealers?
