I just bought a 2001 S4 with 47K for $10,800!! I think I got a pretty good price
. Anyway, was looking for advice.1) My rear window control has fallen into the door panel. Is the panel hard to remove? 2) My windshield washer resevoir is leaking. Whats the best way to get at it? |

its easy to take the door off, i actually had the same problem with the window, it turned out the plastic clips holding the window on cracked. You may need to get a new window regulator ($120). Snap off the little panel beneath the handle (not the one that opens the door) and there will be a screw underneath it. There is two other screws on the sides of the door on the top. After those are off pull the panel upwards an then it should slide out.
Windshield washer reservoir should be underneath the hood on the right hand side. To patch it up you should use this little trick. Take the reservoir out and empty it out. When dry take two little pieces of thin cloth and soak them in superglue. Apply the small pieces of cloth to the leaking hole from the inside and outside. If you can't reach the inside portion, just the outside will do. When it dries you'll have a nifty little patched tank. Or if you locate the crack with it on, just empty it and patch it with it still on.
