HELP!!! p0441 code

yes, ive chaecked all the posts on p0441 evap system leak detection code; ive put new gas cap on( and the indicator window shows cap not on, so i put old one back on, ive also disconnected the purge valve, tested the ohms, reading at 29.9 ohms( saw a thread showing it should read between 22-30ohms, so where is the leak detection pump????btw, this is a 2002 audi a4 1.8t amb engine, yes, i found the charcoal canister, located under the spare wheel tire compartment, so is there a way 2 check the ldp pump , read ohms to determine if thats the cause????? much help is appreciated, what happens if i continue to drive this way, can this ruin the cat converter? thanx for all help-Christian

i did check all vac lines, and can find none cracked, off etc., i did replace the clamps for the purge valve though-
