I don't know if anyone else has had this problem. But my 2006 A4 2.0T has had a slight hestitation & lurch from an idling position to acceleration. for example, when accelerating from a stoplight, it feels like it's going to stall for a second and then the accelerator kicks in. I thought it was related to the Turbo engine or the throttle control. So i had a mechanic friend look at it and he said that there was actually an "open campaign/recall" to have this issue corrected on this model car. it said something along the lines of "Recode ECM"? does that ring any bells for anyone out there? and is this a factory warranty covered recall? please help. thanks.

Workshop campaign 24H8,this is what hes talking about but also if a fault code is stored like this 17428/P1020 fuel pressure control, control limit exceeded is logged in the fault memory of the engine control unit. Then there is a software update for the ecu that isnt a recall but a suggested repair, however make sure you are using the correct grade petrol for this engine as it doesnt like crappy supermarket fuel.
