Default Air Conditioning AC not working...

Here is what I know for AC troubleshooting; Please help!

2000 Audi A4 2.8 Manual Sedan with 130,000 miles

1)
Compressor does engage/disengage with corresponding input from control head ( you set for low temp, compressor comes on, when you push econ, or raise temp condition compressor turns off)

2)
There seems to be an initial push of cold air when engaged (2 to 3 seconds) it then reverts back to what seems to be ambient, outside air temp.

3)
When compressor is running, the aluminum supply line (at the check & fill point) is cold to the touch.

4)
It was just recharged, the people who filled it, said there were no leaks, and put 1.5lbs of r-134 refrigerant in the system.

Any ideas please email me at jason_anderson@uwalumni.com

This happened to me last summer. The air con specialists said there is a problem with the Audi compressor clutch breaking up. They had fixed several Audi A4s.The Audi dealerships charge a lot for a replacement. Try a few auto air con specialists.
