Question A4 ABS warning light comes on at 80mph

Can anyone explain why my ABS warning light comes on whenever I exceed 80 mph. The light will then stay on until I turn the engine off. It then remains off until I exceed 80 mph. I have not had the opportunity of checking the function of the ABS when driving. Thanks in advance for your help. Dave

As suggested by the Forum I have now identified the RBS sensor causing the ABS light to come on at 80mph. It was the near side rear sensor. I then turned the sensor and pressed it in a little. This seems to have cured the problem as the ABS no longer comes on. Thanks to everyone who helped resolve this problem.
