slight shudder during acceleration
My Audi started to vibrate/shudder whenever I press the accelerator pedal. If I take my foot of the gas the shudder goes away. I thought it might have been my right front ˝ axle so I replaced it. However the problem still occurs. It doesn’t seem as noticeable or even barely noticeable when the car is cold but when it gets to normal driving temp I seem to notice it more.
Any ideas as to what may cause this?
I’m thinking it might be my torque converter… but it only has 80,000 miles on it so it would seem too early to be experiencing problems with the torque converter.
I can feel the shudder in the steering wheel and in the seat.
In addition, it seems to shudder whenever I’m at a stop light. If I put the car in neutral the shudder goes away. Again this leads me to believe the torque converter.
Mind you this isn’t a violent shudder/vibration…. more along the lines of driving on a road with deep rain groves, if you know what I mean.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
