Yep, had this problem & it drives you nuts when raining

Audi techi's at first couldn't offer an answer.
So i renewed the wipers which was ok ( also, realised they DID need changing) for awhile but re-started.

In the end got them to re-align the wiper arm setting & all was good again.
BUT, it certainly helps a lot to put new wipers on

Aha just noted your op north.
Take it your wipers are in frequent use against us down in the south-east of England

May help but I have ordered Audi parts from the stealers over the fone, paid by card & they have posted.
There is the olde fashion cleaners i.e vinegar on the wiper blades to keep you going

But i suppose a good blat out is probably better. Enjoy
