Default 2001 A4 quattro tail light cover

I have recently purchased a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro and the rear passenger side fog light is out. I recently also had to replace the drivers side tail light and thought I would look at the fog light on the other side. On the driver side, replacing the fog light was easy but on the passenger side there is a much smaller rectangle hole for the bulb to fit through. How am I supposed to replace this light?

I think you have a model with only 1 foglamp fitted.

I think you're right. I found that out last night during further research, meant to update this but was tired. I would still like to know how to remove the tail light covers. I do need to replace one and am thinking of installing a different type (smoked or something). I bought an Audi maintenance manual that doesn't say.
