Default sirius satellite tuner

I'm looking for advice on installing a tuner for my already wired 2004 A4 sedan for satellite radio. I bought a used tuner and installed it today but the radio still says NO SAT RADIO. I'm thinking there is something else that needs to be plugged in. I tried activating a signal but it didn't work. (real great tech help too...not). Anybody have this experience yet? Thanks.

I did it on a 2007 a4. Not sure how the 2004 works, but on the 2007, there is a panel under the passenger side-wall in which you have to move the factory harness from its current position to the slot directly next to it. This apparently tells the head unit that there is a Sat Radio installed....I don't know the location on the panel on an 04 though.

Default Sirius radio

Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to purchase a Sirius Satellite radio module on Ebay and install it ourselves on the Q7? Or does it absolutely have to be installed by an Audi dealer? You can get the module on Ebay for around $100...dealer charges over $500!! (Canada)

Hey I purchased my unit aftermarket from a parts dealer online...I would assume it would be ok as long as you get a good unit from ebay. I won't claim to know anything about the Q7, but in the A4 all the install is simple. The wires to the factory sat antenna/hu are located within a compartment in the trunk. Just plug them in & then you would have to switch the wire harness (per above) in the panel up front in order to get the head unit to recognize the tuner. Its pretty simple to do and I'm sure you can find a thread somewhere for a Q7 spefically...don't pay a dealer its a rip. The best thing to do is to find the Audi part number for the tuner and then make sure the one for sale on ebay matches up.
