if someone could please give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it. as a first time audi owner im not very familiar with the vehicles. i have an 01 A4 2.8q and its producing a very loud humming noise when i drive. it has just over 80,000 miles on it. if im not mistaken, it seems like the wheel bearings are worn out. i believe just the rear because thats where the noise is coming from. is there an easy way to fix this i.e. repacking the bearings with grease, or is this something i would have to take to a dealer or garage and pay an obsurd amount of money for? or if anyone has done the repair themselves and can offer instruction id be more than happy to tackle it myself. thanks!

yeah, i got it confirmed it is the bearings. bearings for the rear from audi are about 75$ a piece, and the labor rate here is 100$ an hour. i would imagine it wouldnt take long to replace because i beliebe they come machine pressed so it should be a quick switch but not positive. would recommend fixing asap because it will only cause more problems down the road
