A4 Avant Excessive Road Noise

I have just taken delivery of a new A4 Avant S-Line Special Edition 170 TDI.
This is my third A4 Avant TDI having previously owned a 1.9 TDI sport & 2.0TDI 140 S-Line. all were bought from new and owned for 3 years. In my new car I find the road noise especially from the rear to be quite intrusive and find I'm having to turn up the radio volume. The wheel size is 18 inch as per my previous car.
Anyone else had similar problem?

Tyres?
Pressures?
Sound insulation omitted/loose?
Tailgate not sealed?
Less compliancy in rear suspension bushings?
Different exhaust system to 140?
