Default help!!3 beeps

I have just bought an audi 1.9 tdi P reg. After driving for a few days with no problems , the warning light has started to flash and emits 3 beeps and then stays on solid for about 2 mins. can anyone help me with this problem? my wife said the car has stalled on her twice when she has been turning a corner this has been an intermitent thing!

Can you clarify which shape warning symbol is appearing on the DIS ??

Have you checked your coolant level in the overflow bottle may be low ?? Is the cars engine temp going much over the normal 90 mark ??

All coolant levels are fine the temp gauge goes up to the usual 90 but then drops to 75 and the hovers between the 2

ok is the symbol yellow or red ? Might be a sensor is playing up is the engine running a bit rough uneven tickover when it stalls ??

red is not good !! I would say best bet would be to get the car plugged into VAG COM for a fault code read out, and that should tell you whats causing the warning symbol if its not the obvious low coolant ..

Thinking about it it could be your thermostats on its way out !!
