circuit shorting
a little while ago i had my car in the shop because something was draining my battery and the mechanic discovered that the fan that sucks air into the air intake was running almost non-stop and traced the problem to a circuit under the dash. He simply unplugged the fan so it would stop running and said that he didn't want to mess with the wiring so i should bring it to a dealer. how serious is having this fan unplugged?
