Thumbs down Never Buy a Used Audi A4

An Audi A4 that I recently bought has problems with the ignition coil, gear box control and thermostat. It adds significantly to the pollution in the UK and Audi claims this is normal. God help green house gases with Audi around!!
With all the claimed checks by Audi for its used car program - either the checks are a farse or Audi sells cars knowing they have a problem and also they show no concern for the environment!!

This sounds like an un-objective rant about one faulty car. Perhaps if you were more specific, ie age/mileage etc, people may take this post a bit more seriously.

Why buy an Audi if your so enviromently against it ?? better chop it in and go and buy a car with a lawn mower engine like a daewoo or fiat !!

As for the ignition coil and thermostat these are very common to go on any car ..

Default Rant??

Have you guys ever tried contacting Audi if u have a problem with the car???

If they thought that the car was old they shouldnt have sold it 2 months back through their approved used car network!!

It sucks!!

By the way its done 35000 miles..

Hi
If you bought it from an Audi dealer through their approved used network then it should have a warranty with it Take it back and get all the problems sorted under the warranty. If your worried abot the environment then get a prius or some such thing. Presumeably if your a tree hugger you did some research before you bought it!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you didn't then you have nothing to winge about.

i think that ignition got recalled you should look into that it would be a free fix.

Can you not get to it or are you having trouble removing the hardware that secures it?
