Calling any Audi techs (s8 etc)
My A4 1.8 T-sport has presented me with an unusal prob. Pulled away from the lights in a very sedate way and heard a crack from behind me. Discovered that the lower rod in the lumbar support has snapped which jolted backwards and pushed the seat back out breaking the clips. Have used my "Trade" facilty with local Audi Dlr and got a new lumbar support & seat back. How easy if at all is it for me to fit the lumbar support as that rod looks to be a nightmare to get into the lower position (have sport seat upgrade). have a fairly good selection of tools as in the trade (work for Toyota/Lexus) so have some tech experience. Even the guys at the Audi dealer were surprised as this is not a common fault - especially when i am far from being on the large side !! <g> |

Thanks for replay docurly. have got bits from local Audi dealer. Another friend who is a master tech had a look at it. Old bits removed in 20 mins. Another 30mins for me to install all new bits - seat now back to working order.
