1st time on. I am looking at a 2005 S4, owned by an acquaintance, driven by a 20 year old. The car has 24k miles, the clutch was just replaced. The tires are shot, also needs brakes. I think pads will do. Any idea what a brake job for just pads and cost for rotors and pads all around?

its going to be a little pricey but to forewarn you, sounding like the problems the car has/had it sounds like the car has been drivien very very hard.just be careful on your purchase and best of luck.

Yes definately be careful when buying a car that has alot of wear and tear but you should be fine if you know what to look for. When you take the car out for a test drive make sure the radios off and listen for any unusual sounds like clicking, tapping, or rattling. So do your research on the car and the best of luck.

Phew!
Clutch after 24k miles?
No wonder the tyres are shot.

Hardly an s4 that's been looked after but at the right price could be worth considerring.

Has it an Audi full service history?
Who replaced the clutch?

Me?
Would get the complete costings for getting it back to decent, including dics and pads.
Then, offer them a seriously knocked down price.

Or
Wait for one that has a better history.
Quite a few 2005 s4's for sale at mo.
