I have a 2001 Y reg Audi A4 Quatro - new shape.

The rear diff has a knocking coming from it and I wondered wether they are repairable or do i need to replace the diff?

If you turn the front drive connection at the front of the diff box there seems to be a lot of play present and it makes the same knocking as the car does when I set off in full lock either way left or right. The noise also gets louder when there are more people in the car.

Another problem......
Also lately the central locking does not work in cold temperatures. I have to unlock he car with the door lock and when I do the interior lights flash on and off for a while. When the car warms up the problem stops and the central locking through the key fob begins working again.

Has anyone experienced any of these problems pease?

Thanks

Threecard
