A4 1.9TDI Avant 1997 power loss

Driving at around 65mph last night the car suddenly bottomed out and started to drive like a tractor, this morning it ran as it should do for about 1 mile then suffered the same power loss over a 14 mile journey.

Any ideas as to what it could be, regards Richard

No theere are no warning lights

have u done any mods recently which may have caused this to happen? only thing i can suggest is get it on the machine at Audi to see if it brings up any codes

Its ok when its cold for the first mile or so, Im guessing its the MAF sensor

maybe your right but im sure even the sensor should throw a light unless its not that far gone yet
