Hi Guys,

Im new here just bought a Audi 1.8 T 20v. So thought id join a forum. I dont have any picts yet but will post some up soon.

was wondering what could i do first for engine mods?

Welcome to the forum nai

I would recommend a ECU remap or chip for instant bhp and torque increase but you will need to change the divertor valve as well as the stock bosch unit is prone to failure !!

Then you can upgrade the exhaust system for extra power...

Which country are you in and which model A4 you got ?

Hi T-sport i have a 2002 1.8 T 163 multitronic. It is going for a cambelt change in the morning coz its at 61k and not been done. what does the diverator valve do? and how much bhp will i get from a remap?

The divertor valve dumps the waste air from the turbo back into the air box where as other turbo cars use bov blow off valves that vent to the atmosphere.

I would recommend the forge motorsport 007p valve for the job as when you remap the car it will run higher boost pressure from the turbo ...

You should get at least 45- 50 bhp increase from a remap which should cost you about £400 -£600
