Ok, I've been in love with the A4 for a long time and I finally have the money to pick one up. I was wondering what maintenance I should do right off the bat to ensure it runs smooth. I'm pretty much buying it to use as a good quick daily driver for when I go to work on the weekends. My list so far:
- Oil change - Oil filter - K&N Air filter - NGK Plugs - NGK Wires - Belts (Timing, P/S, Alternator) - Fuel filter - Cap - Rotor The car is a 97 1.8T Quattro with roughly 130K. Thanks for the help. |

I also bought a used 97 A4 about 2 years ago. Basically, throw out the list and take it to a good mechanic that works on Eurpoean cars so they can tell you what needs to be done. You will find it a waste of money to replace things on Audi when unecessary since they are quite expensive to upkeep. For example, a starter in a Honda is less than $100.00 but a starter in an Audi $over $300.00
