help please, 2004 a4 cab stereo change

i've read up a bit but still aint sure...

i would like to fit a double din stereo of some sort but doesnt look like it would fit?

the standard stereo looks a little bigger then the advarage one but not as big as a double din i think i have to some how lower the ac but again aint got a clue how to go about this? or even if it needs doing ?

currently my dash looks like this

but im asuming i need it to look like this for it to fit a double din ?

You need to buy a cage like the one bellow.
This allows you to move the climate control to the bottom and have the DD aperture above
