iPod integration

I posted this question in a thread specifically for my vehicle... but I'd like to know if Audi owners in general are having the same issue.

Does your Audi charge your ipod using the cable provided with the ipod integration kit installed?

i saw that you responded to an ipod question, i hope you dont mind a couple more!

i was wondering if it (audi music interface) works well?
i have heard that it only works for 4th generation ipods, is that true?
i have an ipod mini from 2005, but no problem i can buy a new one!

and does "this" cable, also just work only with a USB stick, with lots of tracks on it?
