A6 Sat Nav Stalling
Hi there,
Thanks for reading my question - I'm new to this forum!!
I have the standard Sat Nav that displays through the dash display and up until a few weeks ago it was working perfectly.
However, I pulled up on my drive and the bottom half of the display (where the trip info is) stopped working.
I had a look at a few things and couldn't get it working. As a last resort I tried switching on the Nav. Once the display came on - saying Activating - I turned it off again and the display sprang back into life.
Although this is good news, my Nav is now no longer working. When I switch it on I just get the message "Navigation is activating... Please Wait..." and it doesn't go any further.
I have tried various things to fix it. All of the fuses (in the main side dash fuse box) have been checked and are all ok. I have taken the cables out of the Nav unit in the boot and plugged them back in again and I have tried the Irish disc that was in the pack. None of these have worked and the display is still the same.
It doesn't matter how long I leave the display sitting there for - it just won't boot up.
I'm at my wits end! Does anybody know what this problem may be, whether there are any fuses anywhere else that work the Sat Nav or is there a factory reset/firmware update that I can get to try and reboot the system?
Any information would be most useful.
Many thanks,
Andrew
