There isn't much to translate. Craig means the trim panel or strip at the rear of the roof lining. The amplifier is behind that. It is held by four clips and should pull off.You might as well get an Audi dealer to do it as I doubt if you will get a replacement amplifier from anyone else, unless its second hand and I can't see the point in that. Is that clear enough for you?

Saloon = Sedan
Avant = Station Wagon Is the only translation I can think of.

So thanks for your worthless input...except for the clip part, since that gives me some clue as to how to at least take the "screen" off and have the amp tested, saving myself the $150 the dealer wants to do that. Perhaps in the future you could tone down the snobbery and pompous tone in your posts and save yourself a reply with little or no regards to anything else you might have to say. Thanks |

Whatever, Dave. If there wasn't much to translate, I wouldn't have asked. Your ASSumption that everyone knows what a screen and saloon is in your version of English is snobbish, upity and condescending. The need to even say "there isn't much to translate" just shows your tone is anything but helpful.
Of course, I don't expect you to be able to see that. Most people full of themselves never do. You want to answer questions and give people advise? Here's a clue, don't post unnecessary and belittling phrases at the start of your answer. It only shows your true colors and I doubt that is what you want to really show. Good day to you, sir! |
