Default Antenna Amplifier Audi A4 2002

Does any one know where the Antenna Amplifier is located? I have no AM reception and was told to check the antenna amplifier. I have an Audi A4 2002 with the symphony 2 radio

Is there an "across the pond" translation for this? I'm searching for answers to poor FM reception for my A4 B6 3.0 6 speed quattro.

Thanks

There isn't much to translate. Craig means the trim panel or strip at the rear of the roof lining. The amplifier is behind that. It is held by four clips and should pull off.You might as well get an Audi dealer to do it as I doubt if you will get a replacement amplifier from anyone else, unless its second hand and I can't see the point in that. Is that clear enough for you?

Saloon = Sedan
Avant = Station Wagon

Is the only translation I can think of.

Well, Dave, perhaps you are either clueless or overly pompous in your ASSumption that everyone on the planet who speaks English uses the same phrases you do. Let me be the first to clue you in...WE DON'T! "Rear screen in a saloon" is absolutely useless to anyone in America, except if you are referring to a window screen (used to keep flies out of a room or house) in a bar...and the saloon really referring to a bar in the mid to late 1800's and in the Western part of the States, since that is the primary area/locale that term was used during that time period. Saloon has pretty much gone out of the American vernacular at this point. I think now that screen the poster refers to would mean the "cloth/material" part on the top inside of the car, which covers the interior "ceiling" area. For Americans, screen is something used to keep out flies, and has big enough holes as to be able to see through.

So thanks for your worthless input...except for the clip part, since that gives me some clue as to how to at least take the "screen" off and have the amp tested, saving myself the $150 the dealer wants to do that.

Perhaps in the future you could tone down the snobbery and pompous tone in your posts and save yourself a reply with little or no regards to anything else you might have to say.

Thanks

Alexis, perhaps you should read what I wrote you instead of being Mr. Angry. I did not use any of the terms you quoted. I admit I would not have bothered trying to help you if I had any idea how immature you are.

Whatever, Dave. If there wasn't much to translate, I wouldn't have asked. Your ASSumption that everyone knows what a screen and saloon is in your version of English is snobbish, upity and condescending. The need to even say "there isn't much to translate" just shows your tone is anything but helpful.

Of course, I don't expect you to be able to see that. Most people full of themselves never do.

You want to answer questions and give people advise? Here's a clue, don't post unnecessary and belittling phrases at the start of your answer. It only shows your true colors and I doubt that is what you want to really show.

Good day to you, sir!
